Job Title: Early Years Education Training Advisor

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Training Advisor to join our team at Truro and Penwith College. As an Early Years Education Training Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting learners across Cornwall to achieve their occupational, professional, and technical qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of learners, providing guidance on the assessment process and working closely with staff to communicate students' progress within the occupational standards for Early years.
  • Build collaborative and positive relationships with employers to monitor progress and help them understand the requirements and support needed for various qualifications.
  • Induct learners, conduct diagnostic assessments, and create bespoke programmes of learning.
  • Regularly review learners' progress, set clear targets, and provide detailed feedback to ensure they stay on track.
  • Accurately record and monitor learner activities on OneFile and other tracking systems, requiring a good level of IT literacy.
  • Ensure compliance with audit and reporting requirements for funding bodies and promote further learning opportunities.
  • Prepare learners and employers for End Point Assessments (EPA), including the organisation of mock assessments and 'Gateway' meetings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Early Years education and training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good IT literacy and ability to use tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of occupational standards and qualifications in Early years.
