Job Summary

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to fill the role of Technical Storekeeper - CBRN Equipment Specialist. This position is an essential part of the Quartermaster Department, responsible for the management and control of all CBRN and technical equipment for the Defence CBRN Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring all equipment is clean and serviceable.
  • Issue and receipt equipment to personnel, maintaining accurate documentation for stores accounting and auditing.
  • Conduct maintenance, low-level repair, and testing of CBRN equipment and consumables, including delivery to and collection from contractors if required.
  • Provide CBRN equipment technical advice and assistance to Centre personnel and outside agencies.
  • Support the Quartermaster with the disposal of hazardous materials and waste.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills and basic digital literacy skills.
  • Basic understanding of electrics and mechanics (low-level equipment repair).
  • Ability to undertake training courses of up to 2 weeks in duration and in various areas of the UK for qualifications such as MJDI MA, All Arms Unit Store person Course, JAMES user, Dangerous Goods Consignor, and EET.
