The estimated salary for this Consultant Psychiatrist position is £114,000 - £154,750 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity as a Consultant Psychiatrist, General Adult CMHT, based at Chorley Health Centre, offers a substantive part-time (5 PAs) role in General Adult Psychiatry. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, participating in the Consultant On Call rota, and contributing to the development of service initiatives.

Main Duties

  • To assess, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health conditions within the General Adult CMHT.
  • To participate in the Consultant On Call rota and provide emergency psychiatric services when required.
  • To develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and psychopharmacology.
  • To maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, ensuring adherence to GMC guidelines.
  • To engage in multidisciplinary teamwork, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise.
  • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months.
  • Section 12 approval or within 3 months.
  • Approved Clinician status or within 3 months.
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
