Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HV Electrical Distribution Specialist to join our team and contribute to the company's growth. As a Senior Authorised Person, you will be responsible for leading our HV/LV Electrical Distribution Systems and overseeing technical aspects of HV and electrical projects.

You will work closely with distribution operators to ensure operational efficiency at each site and spearhead discussions with third parties on the planning and implementation of additional power generation to expand the company's business.

  1. Ensure that electrical safe systems of work adhere to legal, operational, and project requirements.
  2. Manage electrical projects from design to handover, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  3. Provide electrical engineering and technical support for operational and development projects.
  4. Manage construction phase H&S, ensuring compliance with CDM and other regulations.
  5. Maintain professional relationships with Distribution Network Operators to resolve issues and identify opportunities.

Key Requirements:

  • A thorough understanding of the electrical supply industry, including Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), National Grid ESO, and relevant legislation and regulations.
  • A strong knowledge of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems, including the ability to interpret and assess detailed information and drawings.
  • The successful candidate must hold a Degree in Electrical Engineering and a HV SAP recognised Certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in using technology for remote collaboration (e.g., MS Teams) and project management software.
  • Evidence of additional safety and compliance training such as NEBOSH or IOSH is required.

Compensation:

The salary for this role is £85,000 per annum, plus an annual bonus and additional benefits listed above.
