Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join our Safety Team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with and guide our Product Engineering functions to ensure that we're developing and delivering safe, robust, and certifiable products for use by our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to develop innovative safety engineering approaches that transcend current AV safety challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety engineering approaches that ensure the safety of our products and services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, including ISO 26262 and ISO/DIS 21448.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety engineering processes and activities.
  • Define and implement verification and validation strategies for system safety.
  • Plan, track, and report safety achievements of assigned projects and generate safety cases.
  • Perform safety analyses at the system and software levels using relevant engineering methods.
  • Derive and define safety requirements and support the creation of test cases and validation criteria.
  • Coordinate and manage safety requirements from customers or to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A solid understanding and passion for safety.
  • Proven experience in the implementation of functional safety and/or SOTIF.
  • Proven experience working in the fields of safety engineering and autonomous vehicle operations.
  • Good knowledge and expertise on the state of the art and relevant safety standards.
  • Good communication skills on technical subjects to a variety of audiences at different technical levels.
