About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join our team at Oxa Autonomy. As a key member of our safety engineering team, you will be responsible for developing innovative safety engineering approaches that transcend current AV safety challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety engineering approaches that ensure Oxa's products meet the highest safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement the verification and validation strategy for system safety.
  • Perform safety analyses at the system and software levels using relevant engineering methods.
  • Derive and define safety requirements and support the creation of test cases and validation criteria.
  • Coordinate and manage safety requirements from customers or to suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A solid understanding and passion for safety engineering.
  • Proven experience in the implementation of functional safety and/or SOTIF.
  • Good knowledge and expertise on the state of the art and relevant safety standards, including ISO 26262, PAS 21448, and ISO TS 5083.
  • Good communication skills on technical subjects to a variety of audiences at different technical levels.
