This is a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Employment Advisor to join the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, based in Stafford. The role requires ongoing training and development, with the expectation of working towards the Level 4 Employment Advice in Primary Mental Healthcare Qualification.

As an Employment Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a team of Employment Advisors to deliver the Employment Support programme. This includes supervising and line-managing staff, meeting regularly with practitioners and therapists to co-ordinate and integrate vocational services into psychological therapies, and managing your own caseload of service users who have mild-moderate mental health problems and who are currently unemployed and wish to return to work.

The successful candidate will be expected to travel across a large geographical area across East and West Staffordshire. They will be required to design and lead group workshops for service users to improve their employability skills and knowledge, and support service users into one or more of a range of opportunities, depending on individual need.

Requirements
  • Previous training and experience in providing Employment Support to individuals
  • Training in supervising / supporting / managing others in a team to provide a support service to individuals

Prior experience of supporting people with employment who have experienced mental health problems is essential. A Level 3/4 Qualification in IAG/Employability Skills is desirable.

Estimated Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum
