About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our diverse team at Page Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's credit and collections processes.

Key Responsibilities


  • Credit Management:

    • Raising daily sales invoices in NetSuite.
    • Evaluating creditworthiness and setting credit limits for new and existing customers.
    • Monitoring customer accounts to identify overdue payments.

  • Collections:

    • Negotiating payment plans and settlements with customers.
    • Initiating collection efforts through phone calls, emails, and letters.

  • Account Reconciliation:

    • Regularly reconciling customer accounts to ensure accurate payment application.
    • Investigating and resolving discrepancies or disputes related to payments or invoices.

  • Record Keeping:

    • Maintaining accurate records of all credit and collection activities.
    • Preparing regular reports on credit status, insurance exposures, and collection efforts.

  • Communication:

    • Liaising with customers to resolve issues related to payment.
    • Collaborating with the sales team to manage credit risk and support business growth.

  • Reporting:

    • Preparing and presenting regular reports to senior management on receivables status.
    • Providing analysis and insights on customer payment behavior and credit risk.

  • Compliance:

    • Ensuring all credit and collections activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Staying up-to-date with changes in credit management practices and legislation.


    Requirements


    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related financial role.
    • Technical Skills:

      • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
      • Familiarity with financial analysis and credit assessment tools.
      • NetSuite experience is desirable.

    • Interpersonal Skills:

      • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
      • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

    • Problem-Solving:

      • Ability to resolve conflicts and manage difficult customer situations.

    • Analytical Skills:

      • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and make informed credit decisions.


      What We Offer

      The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience.
