Accounts Receivable and Credit Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our diverse team at Page Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's credit and collections processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit Management:
- Raising daily sales invoices in NetSuite.
- Evaluating creditworthiness and setting credit limits for new and existing customers.
- Monitoring customer accounts to identify overdue payments.
- Collections:
- Negotiating payment plans and settlements with customers.
- Initiating collection efforts through phone calls, emails, and letters.
- Account Reconciliation:
- Regularly reconciling customer accounts to ensure accurate payment application.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies or disputes related to payments or invoices.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintaining accurate records of all credit and collection activities.
- Preparing regular reports on credit status, insurance exposures, and collection efforts.
- Communication:
- Liaising with customers to resolve issues related to payment.
- Collaborating with the sales team to manage credit risk and support business growth.
- Reporting:
- Preparing and presenting regular reports to senior management on receivables status.
- Providing analysis and insights on customer payment behavior and credit risk.
- Compliance:
- Ensuring all credit and collections activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Staying up-to-date with changes in credit management practices and legislation.
Requirements- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related financial role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
- Familiarity with financial analysis and credit assessment tools.
- NetSuite experience is desirable.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Problem-Solving:
- Ability to resolve conflicts and manage difficult customer situations.
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and make informed credit decisions.
What We Offer
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience.
