Job PurposeThe Senior Business Information Security Officer (BISO) team plays a critical role in Liberty Global's information security and transformation programme, ensuring the secure delivery of new projects and initiatives.
As a key member of the BISO team, you will be responsible for developing an understanding of business goals, engaging senior business leaders on information security, and identifying key areas for improvement.
You will act as the primary security point of contact for business leadership, delivering tailored, expert advice to ensure the secure delivery of new projects and initiatives.
Key Accountabilities- Develop an understanding of business goals to constructively engage senior business leaders on information security.
- Act as the primary security point of contact for business leadership, delivering tailored, expert advice.
- Facilitate and enable security support to business projects by acting as the interlock between business unit project leadership and wider Group Security experts.
- Pro-actively assess, review, and constructively challenge existing processes to deliver improvements to overarching security control posture.
- Lead on ensuring our Financial and HR applications and services are deployed in a way that aligns to relevant information security policies and standard process controls.
- Effectively engage to ensure that key contacts have a clear understanding of the information security strategy, roadmap, and programmes.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of LSS project roadmap and progress, providing regular detailed updates to Group Security leadership.
- Manage the provision of ad-hoc security advice and support to a variety of partners.
- Develop strong relationships to build a detailed understanding of the security risks that exist across the business.
- Take accountability for the identification, assessment, and management of new and existing risks in a way that balances security with business priorities.
- Regularly brief senior leadership team on cyber threats and risks profile.
- Support the timely reporting of risks to security and business leadership.
- Deliver against the overarching security culture and awareness strategy across LSS and supporting teams.
- Build business awareness of emerging security threats and risks and develop a security culture throughout the organisation.
- Regularly brief the Liberty Shared Services leadership team on progress against the information security strategy, roadmap, and programmes.
- Identify key areas of focus for education and awareness campaigns.
Essential skills and abilities include experience and knowledge of best practice information security controls, highly skilled at identifying security risks and exposures, and experience of supporting the security review and secure deployment of HR, Finance, and Legal/Compliance applications.
Desirable skills and abilities include experience of providing security advisory for automation initiatives, good understanding of security frameworks, and good awareness of Security Architecture and Engineering.
Preferred education/qualifications include Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
