Job Purpose

The Senior Business Information Security Officer (BISO) team plays a critical role in Liberty Global's information security and transformation programme. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for ensuring the secure delivery of new projects and initiatives, while also driving business-focussed security and risk management.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of business goals and objectives to inform information security decisions and drive positive outcomes.
  • Act as the primary security point of contact for business leadership, providing expert advice and guidance on information security matters.
  • Facilitate and enable security support to business projects, ensuring that security controls are integrated with business processes.
  • Proactively assess and review existing processes to identify areas for improvement and drive security control posture.
  • Work with senior business leaders to ensure that information security policies and standards are integrated with business processes.
  • Lead on ensuring that financial and HR applications and services are deployed in a way that aligns to relevant information security policies and standard process controls.
  • Effectively engage with key contacts to ensure they have a clear understanding of the information security strategy, roadmap, and programmes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of LSS project roadmap and progress, providing regular detailed updates to Group Security leadership.
  • Manage the provision of ad-hoc security advice and support to a variety of partners.
Risk Management
  • Develop strong relationships to build a detailed understanding of security risks across the business.
  • Take accountability for the identification, assessment, and management of new and existing risks in a way that balances security with business priorities.
  • Regularly brief senior leadership team on cyber threats and risks profile.
  • Support the timely reporting of risks to security and business leadership.
Culture and Awareness
  • Deliver against the overarching security culture and awareness strategy across LSS and supporting teams.
  • Build business awareness of emerging security threats and risks and develop a security culture throughout the organisation.
  • Regularly brief the Liberty Shared Services leadership team on progress against the information security strategy, roadmap, and programmes.
  • Use expert knowledge of the business to identify key areas of focus for education and awareness campaigns.
Knowledge & Experience

We're looking for an experienced information security professional who can bring a deep understanding of best practice information security controls and the potential impact of controls on business operations. You'll need to be highly skilled at identifying security risks and exposures, as well as remedial controls and processes.

Experience of supporting the security review and secure deployment of HR, Finance, and Legal/Compliance applications is essential. You'll also need to have knowledge of cloud security controls and best practice, with a focus on Azure and Google Cloud Platform environments.

As a strong communicator, you'll be able to provide written and verbal presentations to senior partners and stakeholders. You'll also need to be able to work independently to deliver high-quality support to senior partners.
