The Role:

As a key member of the Food Safety & Quality team at Dawn Meats, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality across our operations. Your role will involve:

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of food safety and quality procedures and document control.
  • Maintaining and updating department files, including SOPs, risk assessments, HACCP documents, and quality management documents.
  • Carrying out audits as scheduled and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented SOPs.
  • Supporting the maintenance and management of non-conformant logs and logging complaints.
  • Assisting with close investigations into complaints, including root cause analysis.
  • Conducting microbiological and chemical sampling of finished products and raw materials as per sampling schedules.
  • Working collaboratively with the Food Safety and Quality team to monitor quality assurance, hygiene, and food safety activities.
  • Understanding the importance of Animal Welfare within the business.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a degree in a related discipline (Food Technology, Nutrition, Science) and a strong understanding of HSE requirements. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
