About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Chef Manager to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer service in our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our students and staff
  • Supervise and train a team of culinary staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional food experiences
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, budgeting, and health and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with our sales and marketing teams to develop and implement sales strategies and promotions
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including food quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a school or educational setting
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality food experiences and exceptional customer service
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, and parents
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate and NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2
