We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our Housing First team as a Housing Sustainability Officer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a busy and exciting team that provides intensive support to people experiencing homelessness and sleeping rough in Sheffield.

The Role

As a Housing Sustainability Officer, you will work with internal and external partners to fully understand the holistic needs of our clients. You will be responsible for visiting and actively engaging with people in their homes or accommodation, in day centres, and on the street.

You will be part of a proactive team that uses assertive outreach to engage and work with clients. You will also be required to work at different work sites, including various temporary accommodation sites across the city.

What We Are Looking For

We need someone who can demonstrate a clear person-centred focus, with an ability to prioritise and organise their work. You must be an excellent communicator who can work well on their own initiative but also be a flexible team player. You should be resilient and hardworking, with a keenness to learn and a dynamic attitude.

Many of the people we support have experienced significant trauma in their lives, and it is essential that you can approach your work through a trauma-informed lens.
