This is an exciting opportunity to work with a busy and dynamic team that provides intensive support to people experiencing homelessness and sleeping rough in Sheffield.

The Role

As a Housing Sustainability Officer, you will work closely with internal and external partners to understand the holistic needs of our clients. You will be responsible for visiting and engaging with clients in their homes, day centres, and on the street, using a trauma-informed approach to support their well-being.

You will be part of a proactive team that uses assertive outreach to engage and work with clients, and you will be required to work at different work sites across the city.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive support to clients experiencing homelessness and sleeping rough
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to understand client needs
  • Use a trauma-informed approach to support client well-being
  • Visit and engage with clients in their homes, day centres, and on the street
  • Work at different work sites across the city

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate a clear person-centred focus, with an ability to prioritise and organise your work. You must be an excellent communicator, able to work well on your own initiative but also be a flexible team player. You must be resilient and hardworking, with a keenness to learn and a dynamic attitude.
