As a key member of the Renesas Functional Safety Competence Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our automotive hardware components. Your expertise in functional safety will be instrumental in assessing and mitigating faults in complex systems, aligning with the stringent ISO26262 standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Technical Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of automotive hardware components, including microcontrollers, system-on-chip, analog components, and power systems, to ensure compliance with functional safety standards.

2. Safety Analysis: Provide independent safety analysis for hardware products, focusing on their ability to withstand and operate safely in the presence of random hardware faults.

3. Fault Injection Simulations: Design and execute fault injection simulations to guide hardware design and enhance its robustness against random hardware faults.

4. Global Collaboration: Collaborate closely with global teams across Renesas' worldwide operations to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong educational background in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related field, along with relevant experience in digital or analogue semiconductor hardware design. Functional safety expertise and microcontroller design knowledge are highly desirable.
