We are seeking a highly skilled and efficient administrator to join our SEND / Inclusion team at Shirebrook Academy. As the first point of contact for telephone enquiries into Inclusion, you will provide an effective administration service in this confidential environment.
Maintaining a secure and friendly environment for staff, students, parents/carers, and visitors to Inclusion is crucial. You will undertake various administration duties and support SEND / Inclusion events while working closely with the team.
To be successful in this role, you must be capable of working with minimal supervision, remain calm under pressure, and commit to supporting the aims of the academy. You will also need to promote positive values, attitudes, and behaviour while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where they can make a real difference in the lives of our young people.
As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, we require all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We expect applicants to read our safeguarding policy and safer recruitment policy, which are available on our website.
This role involves regular contact with children, and therefore, it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check at the appropriate level, and shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration related to their criminal record or any information that would make them unsuitable to work with children.
We are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity throughout the recruitment process and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. Your application will be assessed purely on your ability to do the job.
The estimated salary for this position is around £22,000-£25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
