Job Title: Assistant Manager of Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager of Operations to join our team at People First. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing daily cash movement reports, preparing payments, and investigating discrepancies in settlement amounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare daily cash movement reports to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Manage payments preparation, fund transfers, and issue trade confirmation to ensure smooth operations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in settlement amounts, as well as reconcile cash breaks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Maintain counterparties' information and SSI against in-house systems to ensure efficient operations.
  • Actively participate in projects for new systems and new products launches to drive business growth.
  • Support the implementation of new products and system modifications by liaising with the Head Office and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Head Office and IT to ensure efficient department operations and provide coverage for other back-office functions as needed.
Requirements:
  • Experience within a banking role with a strong understanding of payments schemes (CHAPS and SWIFT).
  • Solid understanding of the UK payment system including Interbank Clearing, Nostro account reconciliations, and CHAPS processes.
  • Experienced in handling SWIFT operations and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal in English and Mandarin.
  • Highly organized and able to work under pressure to meet specific deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and relevant professional qualifications.
