About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Asset Management Associate Director to join our Portfolio Finance team at Barings. As a key member of our deal team, you will work closely with external borrowers and stakeholders to ensure the successful closing and ongoing servicing of complex loan facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the onboarding and closing of new deals, including review of legal documentation and participation in the deal team.
  • Provide ongoing servicing and administration functions on loans, including compliance and covenant monitoring, borrower relationship management.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to record collateral data, test compliance metrics, and calculate waterfalls.
  • Collaborate with Treasury & Investment Operations teams to support investments.
  • Develop and improve processes to ensure efficient and effective loan management.
  • Ensure deliverables are managed to a high standard and within timelines.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant investment, investment operations/support experience, preferably with investing or servicing private equity, private real estate, or private credit and lending documents.
  • Ability to develop credibility and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate exceptional project/time management, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced-to-mastery use of Excel and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
