Job Title: Loan Asset Management Associate Director

At Barings, we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence and integrity. We seek a highly skilled Loan Asset Management Associate Director to join our Portfolio Finance team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional to oversee the loan asset management lifecycle, from origination to offboarding. The successful candidate will work closely with our deal team, external borrowers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the onboarding and closing of new deals, including review of legal documentation and adherence to best practices.
  • Provide ongoing servicing and administration functions, including compliance and covenant monitoring, borrower relationship management.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to record collateral data, test compliance metrics, and calculate waterfalls.
  • Collaborate with Treasury & Investment Operations teams to support investments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality results and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant investment, investment operations, or support experience, preferably in private equity, private real estate, or private credit and lending.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong project management, coordination, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
