About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our team at Medical Protection Society. As a Capital Actuarial Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering best-in-class analysis to support capital modelling and actuarial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of annual capital assessments for MPS discretionary business, ensuring high-quality data and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain the capital model used for annual capital assessments, working closely with actuarial colleagues.
  • Collaborate with actuaries across the capital and reserving function on actuarial projects, ensuring seamless communication and delivery.
  • Ensure data quality and reconciliation to source data from the data warehouse, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in actuarial analysis, driving innovation and improvement within MPS.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree-level qualification in a field such as Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or Computer Science.
  • Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and data science applications is advantageous but not essential.
