This role offers an estimated salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum based on location and experience in the UK.

Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide dedicated HR support within our Howden Retail division. As the first line of defence for HR issues, employment relations cases, and generalist queries, you will work closely with the Head of HR and HR Business Partner. This role allows for flexibility in location, with a hybrid work pattern (2-3 days in-office) and travel to other office locations within the UK as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Welcome new joiners to the Howden Group with an introduction session to Workday, Workplace, and the learning platforms.
  • Review and process job changes through Workday, including team organisation changes, transfers, promotions, leavers, etc.
  • Provide advice and direction, scripting conversations, note-taking, drafting, and issuing paperwork as required.
  • Owning sickness and long-term absence cases, including occupational health assessments, return to work arrangements, group income protection applications, and line manager support.
  • Support the employee experience of Family related policies, including parental leave.
  • Work with the Head of HR to provide support with operational M&A/new initiative activity.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar HR role.
  • Experience using Workday.
  • Sound employee relations experience.
  • Good Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • Willingness to travel (inside the UK) as required.
