About the Role

Civic Engineers Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Flood Modelling Expert to join our Glasgow Water Team. As a key figure in our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of Flood Risk Assessments, Hydrological Assessments, and Drainage Strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Manage projects and maintain client relationships, ensuring timely and successful delivery of flood risk assessments and hydrological assessments.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance, support, and training to junior colleagues, assisting in the mentoring and development of others.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior staff, managing small teams of staff on a project and supervisory basis.
  • Client Support: Support our clients to manage water, flooding, and the coastal environment in a sustainable and innovative way.
  • Quality Assurance: Coordinate, quality assure, and lead the delivery of Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, and hydrological assessments.
Requirements
  • A chartered engineer (with the ICE or CIWEM) with over 7 years of proven experience of 1D-2D modelling using Infoworks ICM or Flood Modeller.
  • A creative thinker, passionate and enthusiastic to help grow and develop your team.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
