About the Role

Civic Engineers Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Flood Modelling Expert to join our Glasgow Water Team. As a key figure in our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of Flood Risk Assessments, Hydrological Assessments, and Drainage Strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and maintain client relationships with Local Authorities and private developers across Scotland, England, and Ireland.
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and training to junior colleagues and assist in the mentoring and development of others.
  • Work on interesting and varied flood, coastal, and maritime projects, including supporting clients to manage water, flooding, and the coastal environment in a sustainable and innovative way.
  • Coordinate, quality assure, and lead the delivery of Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, and hydrological assessments.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, managing small teams of staff on a project and supervisory basis.
Requirements
  • A chartered engineer (with the ICE or CIWEM) with over 7 years of proven experience of 1D-2D modelling using Infoworks ICM or Flood Modeller.
  • A creative thinker, passionate and enthusiastic to help grow and develop your team.
