About the Role

The NHS England Financial Oversight and Delivery team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the NHS lives within its annual budget set by Parliament.

You will work on a range of tasks and processes within an evolving timetable designed to collect and report on the financial plans of the NHS. This includes responding to helpdesk queries and working on the design, build, testing, and publication of financial planning templates, tools, and technical guidance.

The successful candidate will have advanced Excel skills, including the use of advanced formulae, formatting, data transformation, charting, recording of macros, and structured referencing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on a range of tasks and processes within an evolving timetable designed to collect and report on the financial plans of the NHS.
  • Design, build, test, and publish financial planning templates, tools, and technical guidance.
  • Respond to helpdesk queries and provide technical guidance to the team.

Requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills, including the use of advanced formulae, formatting, data transformation, charting, recording of macros, and structured referencing.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent, full-time position based in NHS England Office in London/Leeds/Taunton.
