About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in analytics, with excellent technical skills and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to non-technical stakeholders. As a line manager for a small team of analysts, you will be responsible for mentoring junior members, helping shape career paths, and providing day-to-day technical guidance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that is transforming the way we use data to improve patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead on the development of reports and dashboards to support business needs, working closely with Service Group Partners and Data Engineering and Analytics team members.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise analytical capabilities, enabling the use of data analysis to empower decision-making.
  • Provide support for managers and clinicians in interpreting analyses, dashboards, and reports, developing standards within the Information Services team to ensure consistent high quality and accuracy.
  • Deputise for the Data Insights Manager as needed.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience in a numerate discipline, plus additional specialist knowledge acquired through postgraduate diploma level or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to reconcile data accurately and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Sound knowledge of business intelligence tools and systems, including Microsoft BI stack (e.g., SSRS, SSAS, PowerBI).

Estimated salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
