Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Specialist, working closely with our nursing staff to provide top-notch care and support services to patients within the Acute Medical Unit (AMU).

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Assisting patients with transfers to receiving medical wards
  • Maintaining open communication with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensuring that the ward is equipped with necessary supplies and equipment
  • Exhibiting a high level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with patient information
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy ward environment


Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • A degree or equivalent in a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies
  • Willingness to undergo continuous training and professional development


Salary Range

The salary for this role ranges between £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
