Job Summary

Vector Resourcing is seeking an experienced Vendor Manager to establish and maintain strategic relationships with key IT vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and vendor management, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies for managing vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with key IT vendors and suppliers, including Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, and various smaller service providers.
  • Review, monitor, and manage all vendor contracts to ensure terms are adhered to and optimised.
  • Develop a strategy for handling upcoming contract renewals, including vendor negotiations and evaluation of contract terms.
  • Identify vendors or contracts at risk and implement strategies to mitigate any potential issues.
  • Work closely with the procurement team and senior leadership to make informed decisions regarding vendor performance, contract renewals, and future partnerships.
  • Oversee and mentor a Procurement Officer, who will provide support with contract administration and day-to-day procurement tasks.
