Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Vendor Management Specialist to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. - A10. This role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving business growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vendor management, negotiation, and contract administration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that drive business results. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the ability to analyze data and make recommendations to influence leadership decisions. We estimate this role to be approximately £75,000 per year based on location and experience.

About the Role

This role will require 10-20% travel. As a Strategic Vendor Management Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day interactions with a portfolio of telecommunications vendors.
  • Conducting formal monthly and quarterly business reviews (MBR/QBRs) with vendors and Amazon leadership.
  • Generating and reporting vendor performance data against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Closely monitoring vendor performance against contractual SLAs, identifying any SLA breaches or missed targets, initiating the appropriate financial recourse mechanisms such as service credits or liquidated damages as specified in the vendor contracts.
  • Leading efforts to root cause resolve any vendor performance anomalies or exceptions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
- Experience in a professional field or military
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
