About the Role

CMC Markets is seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk and IT Governance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, enhancing, and embedding our Operational Risk Management policy, framework, systems, and processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of ICT risk and Business Resilience, ensuring compliance with DORA regulation requirements.
  • Effective management of the Incident Management process, including incident investigation, root cause analysis, and issue remediation.
  • Monitoring trends in loss data, providing insights on emerging trends, and sharing 'lessons learnt' across functions.
  • Facilitating Risk & Control Assessments, advising on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, and ensuring alignment with incident and KRI experience.
  • Recommendations for changes to controls and procedures to mitigate underlying risks.
  • Collaboration with the business on setting effective Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), monitoring performance, and extracting key messages for reporting and escalation.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in an Operational Risk role (5-10 years) within a Financial Services environment.
  • ICT and Business Resilience Risk Management experience.
  • Deep knowledge of operational risk methodologies and the ability to apply them effectively.
  • Broad knowledge of regulations affecting risk management, including new DORA regulation.
  • Operational Risk Management qualification (desirable).
  • Strong MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint skills.
Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum
