Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and problem-solving individual to join our team as a Clinic Co-ordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to further your skills and work alongside a friendly team of colleagues.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Support the Service Managers and Directorates with Surgery Care Group AHP Outpatient capacity issues
  • Support the full utilisation of Surgery Care Group AHP clinics by working with Directorates to understand capacity and demand issues
  • Support with the forecasting of Surgery Care Group AHP Clinics to avoid future capacity issues
  • Identify and reject referrals not received via the eReferral service as per the Trust Paper Referral Rejection process. Liaise with the Referral Support Service (RSS) and GP Practices.
  • Manage Appointment Slot Issues Report and liaise with Service Management to identify capacity shortfalls against demand and take remedial action.
  • Attend monthly meetings, in the absence of the Service Managers, with Specialties for active engagement to support the Outpatient Clinic utilisation
  • Help to develop new processes and procedures to support the Clinics and improve the clinic demand and capacity issues
  • Create and amend standard letter templates for all Trust Surgery Care Group AHP Outpatient letters ensuring standard operating procedures are adhered to.
  • Daily monitoring of Surgery Care Group AHP Outpatient Appointment Services Administration work streams. Providing remedial action and escalation where required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational services, with experience of managing capacity and demand, outpatient management, and activity. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.

The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team, with a methodical and highly organised approach. They will also have the ability to think analytically and resolve problems relating to capacity and demand.
