About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Nurse to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in the management and coordination of research projects involving patients, families, and carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management and coordination of research projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
  • Liaise with consultants, medical staff, and health professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care and effective communication with patients.
  • Maintain accurate clinical, research, and other records using the Trust's documentation or clinical trial site files and data collection instruments.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of research protocols, ensuring that all trial data are collected within specified time constraints.
  • Collaborate with the research team to promote the work of research within the Trust and contribute to the development of the Surgical and Family Health portfolio of trials.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a Diploma level education or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years post-registration experience in a clinical setting.
  • Understanding of research-based practice and evidence of continued professional development.
  • Completed Good Clinical Practice training.
