Job Overview

Jensen Hughes, a leading consulting firm specializing in risk analysis and engineering solutions, is seeking a talented mid/senior-level nuclear engineer to support regulatory compliance, risk assessment needs within the nuclear industry, and studies to deploy advanced reactors and SMRs in Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support regulatory compliance and risk assessment needs within the nuclear industry
  • Conduct studies to deploy advanced reactors and SMRs in Europe
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of nuclear consultants to deliver innovative solutions for nuclear safety and reliability consulting services
  • Develop new reactor PSA models, support feasibility studies for new and advanced reactor deployment, and perform technology selection and site hazard assessment studies
  • Project management, including developing proposals, allocating resources efficiently, and maintaining clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited university in Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical engineering (or other similar fields)
  • At least 5 years of post-graduation experience of working in an expert role related to nuclear safety and licensing
  • Strong English communication and writing skills are a must, given the collaborative nature of our work and the need to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in PSA internal events, fire PSA, external hazards, online risk tools, or related engineering-based projects is essential
  • Experience in nuclear power plant engineering, nuclear plant systems, licensing, operations, advanced nuclear technologies, or similar technical areas is highly desirable
  • Project management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently, would be advantageous in this role
