Executive Chief of Geriatrics and Palliative Care

Job Overview: Due to growth and expansion of services, we are seeking an Executive Chief of Geriatrics to advance patient care excellence through innovation and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight in clinical areas to build and expand programs, establish guidelines and coordination of specialty-related activities.
  • Develop and manage four major areas: service line planning, talent development, educational programs for residents and fellows, and quality oversight.
  • Collaborate with Academic Chiefs and Residency designated institution officers to achieve academic preeminence, oversee various academic rotations including collaboration with Departments of Medicine and Family Medicine.
  • Lead a high-performing team combining geriatrics and palliative care, including faculty teaching appointment, geriatricians, palliative medicine physicians, advanced practice caregivers, licensed social workers, and Integra's nurse care managers.
  • Ensure board certification in IM/FM and Geriatrics and/or Palliative Care, demonstrate leadership, advocacy, planning, and organizational skills, and maintain strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Maintain and promote our culture to innovate through academics, nursing, and patient care.
  • Hold an active and unrestricted medical license in the State of RI.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
