Job Title: Discernment Support Coordinator

A key opportunity has arisen in our Ministry Development Team for a gifted and organised coordinator to join our discernment processes.

Job Description:

The role involves co-ordination, logistical organisation, and support for online and in-person discernment panels. You will also oversee administration for the candidates panel, ensuring a high-quality and efficient service for all stakeholders.

You will provide administrative and logistical support, maintain records and provide reports using people-related data, with attention to current GDPR and NCI policies.

As the first point of contact, you will respond to enquiries received via the shared inbox for the discernment process from stakeholders and colleagues.

You will handle requests from work colleagues and stakeholders to give one-to-one advice and resolve problems.

Requirements:
  • An instinctive team player, able to work collaboratively while using your own initiative.
  • A positive, proactive attitude to all tasks approached.
  • Highly professional approach grounded in graciousness, care, and sensitivity.
  • Supportive of the work and Christian ethos of the Church of England.
  • Very good IT skills, with experience of working with web-based applications, portals, SQL databases, and virtual learning environments.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £19,459 per annum (FTE £38,918).
  • Pension contributions between 8-15% of salary.
  • A match of up to an additional 3% of salary.
  • 25 days annual leave (increasing to 30 days within 5 years) plus three additional days.
