About the Role

DLA Piper International is seeking a highly organized and proactive Careers Coordinator to join their Early Careers team. This 12-month industrial placement provides an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills and knowledge in recruitment and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campus Season and Recruitment Events
  1. Organize administrative tasks, including event planning, logistics, and coordination with the business and early careers recruitment team.
  2. Assist with attraction planning, social media support, and candidate management at events.
Apprentice and Graduate Assessment Centres
  1. Coordinate event logistics, including venue bookings and catering arrangements.
  2. Support the early careers recruitment team with candidate queries and management.
General Administration
  1. Process invoices, manage budgets, and track expenses related to early careers recruitment and development activities.
  2. Manage the team's inbox, respond to candidate inquiries, and book travel and accommodations for programs and events.
Event Management
  1. Create registration lists, name badges, and tent cards for all events.
Insight and Internship Programs
  1. Plan and organize logistical components, including event coordination and communication with participants.

Early Careers Development

  • Performance Management
  1. Provide administrative support for apprentice and graduate performance review processes.
  2. Chase incomplete performance review forms and ensure timely completion.
Rotations and Permanent Placement Process
  1. Logistically manage apprentice and graduate rotations and support the Early Careers Development team.
  2. Assist with the annual qualification process and associated activities.
Induction and Continued Learning
  1. Plan and organize logistical components for apprentice and graduate training programs.
Regulatory Processes
  1. Support team members with cyclical regulatory processes.

Requirements

In your penultimate year of an undergraduate degree, you will be eligible to work full-time in the UK for the duration of the placement. You should possess:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach, self-starter attitude, and ability to use initiative.
  • A team player mindset with hands-on approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word).
  • Demonstrable interest in Human Resources, Recruitment, and/or Early Careers.
  • A keen desire to learn and develop within the role.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and think creatively to solve problems.

Salary and Benefits

This 12-month industrial placement offers a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum. The successful candidate will also have access to a range of benefits, including hybrid working arrangements, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional growth and development within DLA Piper.
