About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Catering Assistant/ Food Services. As a key member of our food and facilities management team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with all aspects of food preparation and presentation to meet company standards
  • Provide an efficient and friendly service to customers in all areas of the catering department
  • Ensure food is presented and served in a clean, hygienic environment
  • Assist at service times by serving customers at the counter as directed, to the company's standard
  • Complete all necessary sales controls and documentation for each service
  • Communicate well with customers and demonstrate a helpful attitude at all times
  • Undertake all aspects of cleaning equipment to the company's standard according to the cleaning rota or as directed
  • Ensure tables and accompaniments are kept as clean as reasonably practicable and adequately stocked during service times
  • Load service counters as and when directed and ensure sufficient supplies throughout the service period
  • Check deliveries and temperatures on delivery, also record food temperatures during service
  • Operate the till during service periods
Requirements
  • Eligible to work in the EU/EEA
  • The location of this job would suit those with their own transport or an understanding of the bus/walking routes
  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal
  • The ability to demonstrate great team work skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
