Job Title: Senior Medical Physicist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Physicist to join our team at the Washington Institute for Coagulation. As a key member of our medical physics department, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing our medical physics service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop our medical physics service, working closely with the Consultant Clinical Scientist and other key colleagues.
  • Play a crucial role in shaping a robust medical physics team, appointing key roles, and fostering professional support within regional networks.
  • Benefit from strong regional networks and partnerships, including collaboration with the Medical Physics department at the Royal United Hospital Bath.
Requirements:
  • Clinical Scientist, registered with the HCPC.
  • Masters degree in Medical Physics.
  • Honours degree in physics or related science.
  • Certified as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in Diagnostic Radiology under IR(ME)R-2017 – or eligible to apply within 1 year.
  • Certified as a Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) under RPA2000 – or eligible to apply within 1 year.
