Job Title: Experienced Medical Physicist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Physicist to join our team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. As a Medical Physicist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation in our diagnostic radiology services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Medical Physicist to take on a senior leadership role and contribute to the development of our Medical Physics service. You will work closely with our Consultant Clinical Scientist and other key colleagues to lead and develop our Medical Physics team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on radiation safety and protection to our diagnostic radiology teams
  • Develop and implement radiation safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage action plans to mitigate against radiation risks
  • Lead and develop our Medical Physics team, working closely with our Consultant Clinical Scientist and other key colleagues
Requirements
  • Clinical Scientist, registered with the HCPC
  • Masters degree in Medical Physics
  • Honours degree in physics or related science
  • Certified as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in Diagnostic Radiology under IR(ME)R-2017
  • Certified as a Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) under RPA2000
