We are seeking an experienced and innovative Medical Physicist to join our team as a Lead Medical Physicist. As a key member of our Medical Physics service, you will play a crucial role in shaping our team and ensuring compliance with radiation safety legislation.

About the Role
  • Lead and develop our Medical Physics service, working closely with the Consultant Clinical Scientist and other key colleagues.
  • Play a crucial role in shaping a robust medical physics team, appointing key roles, and fostering professional support within regional networks.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement service plans and developments to ensure the highest standards of care for patients and staff.
  • Complete risk assessments and manage action plans to mitigate against risks.
Requirements
  • Clinical Scientist, registered with the HCPC.
  • Masters degree in Medical Physics.
  • Honours degree in physics or related science.
  • Certified as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in Diagnostic Radiology under IR(ME)R or eligible to apply within 1 year.
  • Certified as a Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) under RPA2000 - or eligible to apply within 1 year.
