About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing patient-centered Occupational performance assessment and discharge planning for inpatients on the acute medical & surgical inpatient wards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assessment of acute inpatient functional needs to facilitate safe, timely hospital discharge.
  • Assessment and provision of equipment to increase independence and wellbeing in discharge environment.
  • Liaison with families, carers, agencies, community resources and the MDT to ensure patients needs and wishes are recognised, supported and met (where appropriate).
  • Service development/improvement - through QI projects, self and team development and continuous review of practice.
