Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Physicist to join our team at the Washington Institute for Coagulation. As a Senior Medical Physicist, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing our Medical Physics service, working closely with our Consultant Clinical Scientist and other key colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop our Medical Physics service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and safety.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on diagnostic radiology physics and radiation protection to our medical staff.
  • Collaborate with our regional networks and partnerships to ensure the sharing of best practices and expertise.
  • Develop and implement risk assessments and action plans to mitigate against potential risks.
Requirements
  • Clinical Scientist registration with the HCPC.
  • Masters degree in Medical Physics.
  • Honours degree in physics or related science.
  • Certified as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in Diagnostic Radiology under IR(ME)R-2017.
  • Certified as a Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) under RPA2000.
