Relationship and Supplier Development Director

We are seeking a highly motivated Supplier Relationship Manager Lead to join our Commercial Directorate at High Speed Two (HS2). In this exciting new role, you will lead a team of up to 7 people and be responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with our most important suppliers.
**Job Description:**
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the SRM portfolio, including segmentation analysis, project planning, and monthly reporting. You will also be responsible for leading meetings, workshops, and collaborative events required to support the delivery and development of SRM at HS2, as well as interfacing with other governance and assurance, IT and systems-related personnel across HS2, DfT, and the supply market.
**Responsibilities:**
* Lead a team of up to 7 resources and provide guidance on SRM best practices
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Manage the SRM portfolio, including segmentation analysis, project planning, and monthly reporting
* Lead meetings, workshops, and collaborative events required to support the delivery and development of SRM at HS2
* Interface with other governance and assurance, IT and systems-related personnel across HS2, DfT, and the supply market to align SRM to wider HS2 governance and reporting, systems, and interfaces
**Requirements:**
This role requires someone with extensive experience in SRM, preferably in a similar matrix organisational structure, with a strong track record of delivering results. The successful candidate will have a strong background in stakeholder management, contract law, and commercial acumen, with a keen eye for detail and ability to produce high-quality reports.
