Phlebotomy Specialist

Bridgeway Professionals is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join their team in Liverpool, NY.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
This is a contract job opportunity with potential for permanent placement. The successful candidate will work 7am-5:30pm (8 hours varied) Monday-Friday at one of our nine sites in Auburn, East Syracuse, Ithaca, Oneida, Watertown, and surrounding areas.
About the RoleThe main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures, properly explaining the process of venipuncture to patients, and demonstrating techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
You will also check all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure correctness, package specimens for transport, and store specimen samples according to required temperature.
Requirements- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- High School Diploma or GED
