Job Title: Senior Electronics Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at ACS Performance. As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for managing development projects from initial research to delivery to the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage development projects from initial research to delivery to the marketplace
  • Take an active part in the initiation of new product ranges and product refreshes
  • Create detailed product specifications, hardware designs, prototypes, and embedded software to deliver required functionality
  • Ensure manufacturers and suppliers are briefed accurately and meet required deadlines
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for specific projects
  • Ensure product feasibility and produce calculations/studies for capital projects

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI and UART
  • Knowledge of RF modules
  • Experience of using hardware development packages, such as Eagle and Altium
  • Experience working with microcontrollers, including timers and interrupt handling
  • Experience with manufacturing techniques and knowledge of design for manufacture
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to spot trends
  • Excellent time management skills when managing workloads and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and highly self-motivated
  • Logical and creative mind and eager to innovate, learn, and develop
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
