About the Role
Grosvenor Casinos is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at our Reading South location. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the success of our kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sous Chef, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Head Chef in the management and organization of the kitchen
- Supervising the kitchen operation to ensure outgoing food is of a consistently high standard
- Ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation
- Managing kitchen staff and providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
To be successful as a Sous Chef at Grosvenor Casinos, you will need:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
- Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment
