Job Title: Technical ManagerJob Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Vistry Group. As a Technical Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating technical information, engineering packages, and working drawings to ensure the successful delivery of residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage site operations from design stage to post-completion, in line with the delivery programme.
  • Undertake key aspects of the Principal Designer role, as defined within the Construction Design & Management Regulation 2015.
  • Coordinate delivery of surveys and reports required for the development and manage associated requirements from design to completion.
  • Manage the process of obtaining consultant fee proposals and formal appointment documents, in accordance with group procedures.
  • Coordinate consultants to deliver civil engineering designs, including legal plans.
  • Undertake value engineering assessments and ensure buildability.
  • Coordinate submission of designs and securing technical approvals for agreements such as S104, S38, and S278.
  • Manage timely completion of legal agreements following technical approval.
  • Coordinate utility designs and initial mains laying onto site, ensuring legal agreements are completed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate street naming with local authorities, complete plot lists, and distribute information internally and externally.
  • Assist in the production of Sales brochures, legal and sales handover meetings.
  • Provide information for Housing Association contracts and attendance of progress meetings.
  • Coordinate consultants to deliver house type working drawing packs and liaise with key suppliers to provide ancillary drawing information for tender, construction, and sales packs.
  • Prepare all drawings and documents for engineering and superstructure elements for tender, followed by construction issue and sales handover.
  • Coordinate the accuracy of information supplied by all departments to ensure no discrepancies.
  • Submit all information to building control and warranty providers and obtain approval of same, obtaining SAP/HEM Assessments together with PEA's and EPC's, Secured by Design Approval, and Robust Standard Details.
  • Obtain and collate all ancillary specialist drawings, including hot water supply, heating, kitchen, stair, lintels, p.c. ground floors, and precast upper floors.
  • Attend and chair Pre-Start Meetings and brief all departments on matters related to the engineering and working drawings.
  • Coordinate information and liaise with architects, civil and structural engineers, and landscape architects, ensuring consistency between various designs.
  • Assist the Land, Planning, and Development teams with advice during the land acquisition stage and assist in the information to discharge of planning conditions.
  • Monitor and report technical and development fees, including S106 obligations.
  • Resolve all technical-related queries, including conducting site visits as required.
