Job Overview

The position of Health and Safety Administrator is now available at KD Recruitment, a dynamic company seeking to expand its safety team. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to take on a more focused role in health and safety administration and contribute to the company's goal of creating a safe work environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and administration of health and safety policies across the company's depots.
  • Assist in the implementation of health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health and safety records, including incident reports, risk assessments, and audit documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage the health and safety training matrix, ensuring certifications such as Forklift and IPAF are current across all teams.
  • Liaise with depot teams to ensure health and safety procedures are being followed and assist in promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Participate in accident investigations and help implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Schedule and assist in the preparation of health and safety meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action points.
  • Provide administrative support for health and safety audits, including ISO and other industry standards.
  • Assist in compiling reports and data for senior management on health and safety performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working in a warehouse or operational environment with involvement in a Health and Safety Committee or a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with managing records and documentation.
  • A proactive attitude towards safety and continuous improvement.
