About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Epilepsy Nurse Specialist to join our Neurology team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with epilepsy and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nursing care and support to patients with epilepsy, including assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support for patients and their families.
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs for patients, families, and healthcare professionals on epilepsy management and treatment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies related to epilepsy care.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements
  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Teaching and assessing qualification or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in epilepsy care and management.
  • Significant relevant experience in acute or community nursing, preferably in a neurology or epilepsy setting.
