Senior Civil Engineer Job Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead our team working on bridge works, highways, or major civil engineering projects in Scotland.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring technical compliance of works and engineering functions, and coordinating with design teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership:

Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to achieve project objectives.

Technical Compliance:

Ensure that all engineering functions are compliant with relevant specifications and regulations.

Design Team Coordination:

Work closely with design teams to ensure that designs meet the required standards and specifications.

Quality Assurance:

Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure that all works are carried out safely and efficiently.

Communication:

Effective communication with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure that all parties are aware of their responsibilities.

Requirements:
  • Leadership Skills:

Strong leadership skills to motivate and direct a team of engineers and technicians.

Engineering Knowledge:

Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and practices to ensure that all works are carried out safely and efficiently.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Quality Focus:

Passion for quality and commitment to implementing quality assurance processes.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualification:

A relevant qualification in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering to HNC or above.

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years' experience in bridge works, highways, or major civil engineering projects.

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum.
