This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global engineering company as a Planning Manager. In this role, you will take leadership of planning and customer service activities to ensure timely and cost-effective material planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
Main Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Ensure a safe and secure working environment for all employees and lead and manage all planning activities, including works order creation, scheduling, and planning controls best practice.
- Strategic Planning: Develop S&OP process to support strategy and ensure available systems such as PFEP and S&OP are utilised in the continuous improvement of all planning activities.
- Inventory Control: Ensure all production planning policies are consistent with the inventory control objectives of the Division and Corporation and work closely with Divisional Supply Chain Manager to develop FGS strategy in line with POP rationale.
- Collaborative Forecasting: Drive collaborative forecasting between departments and premier customers, whilst establishing a demand plan for the operations.
- Customer Service: Support internal and external audits as required, review FGS stock in line with planning schedules and Premier customers, and adjust accordingly.
- Team Development: Support professional development of all team members and actively support and implement Lean principles.
- Customer Experience: Overall responsible for customer experience, including metrics on customer engagement, and support and manage the customer service team to ensure best in class supply to customers.
- Previous Material and Planning Experience
- CIPS Level 4 or higher
- Lean training and experience
- Proficient in excel
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
